We’re absolutely delighted to recommend the services of Nikki Froneman and Arte Viva Management (AVM), which worked closely with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute to plan and execute a highly successful tour of South Africa by our NYO Jazz ensemble in July/August 2024.
At each stage of the planning, AVM understood our goals and offered thoughtful suggestions for how to make the most of the two-week period available for the tour. AVM played a comprehensive role in the planning for a full year prior, encompassing overall tour management and budgeting; contracting with venues and local technical staff; overseeing marketing, public relations, and production; coordinating travel logistics and security arrangements, inclusive sightseeing and peer-exchange activities; meal planning and artist hospitality and liaising with US government officials. The attention to detail, thoroughness, and good humor of Nikki and her team, both in advance of the tour, on-the-ground for the full trip, and in the requisite follow-up afterward were exemplary—truly above and beyond even the high standard of many tour managers we have worked with on other occasions.
Nikki’s deep passion for and knowledge of the musical landscape in South Africa connected to jazz was invaluable, as were her longstanding and trusted relationships with artists, venues and partner organizations. We’re very grateful for the connections she made, and for her deep thought partnership surrounding every element of the tour. The response to NYO Jazz in South Africa and from the tour party to their own range of experiences there were both extraordinary. We are looking forward to future tours with Nikki and AVM.
